Manages all operations of the Bradenton Area Convention Center, Powel Crosley Estate, and Premier Sports Campus. Responsible for scheduling and coordinating events, meetings, exhibits, shows, and other activities across the 3 properties. Maximizes use of the facilities for the benefit of the Manatee County community- Develops and implements sales program for Manatee County tourism, including sports tourism. Develops promotional strategies, marketing budgets, and business plans- Negotiates business deals and contracts, coordinating with the County Attorney’s Office as required- Seeks out and secures from private and other partners, co-operative funding of events and programs. Responsible for the administration of any private or governments grants awarded to the Convention and Visitors Bureau- Develops annual maintenance and aesthetic upgrade programs. Coordinates and schedules all capital improvement projects for the facilities- Develops fee schedules for all BACVB managed facilities- Reviews and recommends new methods and procedures to make daily operations more efficient. Performs considerable short-term and long-term planning, scheduling, and coordinating within area of responsibility. Interprets and implements management policies for area of responsibility- Develops annual budget based on division needs. Monitors revenue and expenses and allocates fiscal resources - Attends educational events that will increase professional knowledge and be otherwise beneficial to the County.
