Full time, rotating position split between inpatient and outpatient settings in the hematology and oncology (heme/onc) department Round with hospitalists, and peripherally with oncologists, covering patients with all different forms of malignant hematologic and solid tumor cancers Assist in developing patient specific treatment plans with providers, as well as inputting chemotherapy regimens in Beacon Provide teaching about chemotherapy regimens to patients when first starting treatment Check hazardous and non-hazardous intravenous (IV) products in a sterile compounding area in an infusion center when working outpatient Field questions from nurses and providers from all oncology specialty areas in the clinic Contributed to a high dose methotrexate monitoring policy as well as a nausea/vomiting guide for providers and nursing staff
