   With over 22 years of civil and coastal engineering experience, Mr. Andrus specializes in managing complex coastal projects. He is well-versed in scientific research, field investigations, project design and management, permit coordination, feasibility studies, and technical writing. He has analyzed sediment transport and accumulation with respect to wave climate, forecasted deltaic growth curves, performed hydraulic calculations on freshwater and sediment diversions, articulated results of storm surge models, quantified sand volumes based on geophysical and geotechnical data, specified shoreline protection measures, estimated dredging costs for a variety of methods and environments, and projected habitat benefits associated with most of these efforts. As a Executive Vice President at Royal, Mr. Andrus has also developed management skills which have lead to increased efficiency by applying global problem solving strategies in standardizing services, sequencing activities, streamlining finances, improving systems, selecting materials, and allocating resources. He has directed program tasks utilizing tools such as GIS, Document Control Systems, and Primavera P6 Scheduling Software in tandem with solid engineering judgment to recommend process refinements, identify procurement alternatives, take advantage of economies of scale, drive project schedules, maintain budgets and achieve production goals. He has applied these techniques in disaster recovery programs, environmental projects, and in overall staff development company-wide.
