WORK HISTORY
Manager, Local Engagement @Americans For The Arts
Washington, DC, US
I support local arts agencies by identifying and understanding the needs of their arts and culture ecosystems that through equitable advocacy will lead to federal policy and legislative changes. Currently leading an appreciative inquiry process to build a 3-5 year plan of engagement, focusing on community building, communication and convenings. I managed a partnership with Mid Atlantic Arts on Disability Justice initiatives. Through a pilot committee, I helped to produce a process webinar and three curriculum videos on intersectionality, accountability and budgeting for disability justice. My role started as the Manager for ArtsU and Local Engagement, were I worked to connect resources across the organization to develop field education offerings to foster and cultivate competent and informed local, regional, and national arts and culture professionals. The organization is going through a strategic realignment process and my role has transitioned to focus exclusively on field engagement.
