About Misty Bishop

I am a PhD candidate and a government professor with extensive experience in criminal and civil litigation as an Administrator, Advocate, and/or Paralegal, as well as in Oil and gas law, particularly in Land Division. I have 22 years of office/clerical experience, along with at least 12 years of legal experience. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Administration of Justice/Speech Communication from Texas Southern University, a Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved institution, and an EMPA from Texas Southern University. I am truly a highly motivated, efficient, committed, team-oriented, assertive, and dependable person. My persona as well as my qualifications have opened doors for me to work at prominent and renown entities as a Subcontractor for the past 20 years such as Centerpoint Energy, Oxy, Inc, Harris County District Atty Office, Berg & Androphy, Law Office of Barry Baumgarten, International Cellulose Cooperation, EOG Resources, Lime Rock Resources, Devon Energy, The Marker Group, Jackson Lewis LP, BP, Gexa, Lone Star College General Counsel Office formerly known as North Harris County District General Counsel Office, University of Houston General Counsel Office, and Suez Energy. At these entities, I strengthen my legal knowledge as I continue to learn the foundation and concept of what strategies to use to turn a negative outlook into a positive outcome, as well as eliminating the word “can’t” and changing the word “impossible” to “possible”. Nevertheless, this mindset has been deeply embedded within me, which has inspired others to follow and excel in their own endeavors.
