About Misti Alvarez Cohen
My experience in property management has been varied and interesting. I\'ve worked in most property and lease types, in both residential and commercial real estate management. In residential, I started in student housing off of the campus of the illustrious Purdue University (Boiler Up!), and then moved to market-rate multifamily -in properties big (997 units) and small (164 units). I transitioned to Commercial management with a (mostly) fee managed portfolio of retail banking institutions and medical office buildings. Unexpectedly, but fortuitously, I was recruited to oversee the commercial portfolio for an owner-managed real estate company and though a lot of direct management changes occurred, it was a great company, and an excellent experience in mixed-use retail, office, and light industrial. After a few years, I wanted back on the medical side, and joined the largest owner-operator of medical real estate in the country, where I swiftly found opportunities to advance and support for my career growth. I earned my CPM during this time, as well. A promotion for my husband within his company in late 2020 brought us to the Evansville area in spring, 2021. I’ve joined a local management team providing professional third-party fee management to Property Owners and Investors as the Senior PM and Director of Business Development. In 2022, I plan to focus on business development for our firm, and I\'m looking forward to our new future in Southwest Indiana!
