It\'s a content-cluttered world. So I’ve dedicated my career to crafting stories that stand out—not just to inform and entertain, but to engage, inspire and empower. As an award-winning editor and writer at global media brands, I’ve covered wide terrain: history, business and investigative features, breaking news, culture, consumer and lifestyle content. Whatever the platform, I work to marry fresh ideas with rigorous reporting, lively storytelling and packaging that pops. My award drawer has grown fuller in recent years, but my proudest moments came with a) an investigation that prompted change at a national organization in favor of consumers; and b) an investigation that let a dozen sex-abuse victims finally see their tormenter confess. Oh, and there was that time John Updike quoted one of my stories. Before my first publishing job—launching a national chain of consumer-facing culture magazines—I began my career as a museum educator. How I shifted from that to business journalism is a funny story.
