ABOUT MISKA K.

I’m passionate about anything to do with people and helping to shape businesses. My story began some 15 years ago when I joined Envelopes Ltd as a PA to the Managing Director. As the company grew, I took on greater responsibility, eventually becoming a Director in 2018. During my time as a PA, I was at the centre of constant change and company growth. I really loved working across various departments and gaining an understanding of what it means to run a business. Becoming a Central Services Manager was very exciting, though it meant I had to wear many different hats (because every department had its own needs). This improved my collaboration and communication skills, and it also helped me to understand what employees needed, which then enabled me to implement process improvements. Being the only contact for anything personnel and human resources related meant I had to rely on my ability as a self-starter. I did my own research, keeping up to date with any employment law changes and updating the company’s HR policies and procedures accordingly. My involvement in the growth of the business was recognized and in 2018 I was promoted to become a Director. In this role, I continued to oversee various departments and shape the business. As the pandemic struck, I communicated effectively with employees on procedures going forward and made sure everyone who was able to work from home had all the tools they needed to perform to the best of their abilities. And for those that couldn’t work from home, I ensured that their working environment was as safe as possible. It was a challenging time, but I persevered, using my problem solving and communication skills to keep my colleagues motivated and resolve any issues. As for my next chapter, I’m ready to start work to improve processes and shape your workforce to be the best they can be!
