About Misha van Beek

Hi, I\'m Misha, Co-Founder at Bayesline.At heart I am a quant. From middle school onwards, I have been fascinated by how elegant formulas can express very complex behaviors in nature and economics. While I was priming myself for a lifetime in academics, I realized I chronically lacked the patience for it. So to industry it was! Throughout my career, mostly at BlackRock, my passion was to capture market behaviors in products that people can use to make sense of their portfolios. I had a lot of big ideas and support to execute them, leading to a few products and innovations that I am very proud of. But ultimately, I decided to give it a shot myself and start an analytics company with my friend and co-founder Sebastian. We saw an opportunity in reimagining portfolio analytics on the same tech stack that that big labs such as Google DeepMind use, cutting the time to create models and react to markets from weeks or months to minutes or seconds. In a world where the time-to-insight can make or break a fund, we help our clients be orders of magnitude faster than their peers.
