About Mishal Charania

Hi! My name is Mishal (pronounced like mih-shell)! I use she/her pronouns and I would love to chat with you!I currently serve as a Corporate Sponsorships Assistant for the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United. I support with game day activations and client assistance, sponsorship development and execution as well as management of projects based on departmental need. I just graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor\'s in Sport Management and minors in both writing and social media analysis/design. In addition to studying at U-M, I am privileged to have been the Editor-in-Chief of The Michiganensian Yearbook, the administrative assistant for the Development Summer Internship Program, and an editor for the Audience Engagement section of The Michigan Daily!In the past, I have held internships through the following organizations- United Airlines where I supported the activations and strategy for integration of sport and live entertainment sponsors - Development Summer Internship Program where I worked in Alumni Relations at Rackham Graduate School to create a long-term plan for a specialized group of alums- The University of Michigan Athletic Department as a marketing and communications intern (primarily for Track and Field, but I also worked with Football, Men\'s and Women\'s basketball, volleyball, Swim and Dive, and more)- Sleepopolis / Pillar4 as a social media intern creating content for three platforms every dayMy main professional interests are marketing (particularly on social media), advancing educational opportunities in the field of development and journalism for young adults, and considering how sport sponsorship can support the activity and engagement of a team or brand. I have previously taken on opportunities where I focused on the educational development of others, and as a result, myself. 2024 marks the fourth year I will serve in a teaching role at the Michigan Interscholastic Press Association\'s Summer Journalism workshop for middle and high school students, a camp I myself went to for three summers. During both the Fall 2024 semester and Winter 2025, I served as a Teaching Assistant for two courses in the Sport Management curriculum.
