About Chuck Mischley

As Director, Talent Acquisition, I\'m responsible for recruiting, leadership, strategies and directives as it relates to Nationwide\'s corporate staff functions (Innovation, Marketing, Finance/Accounting, Investments and Human Resources), Nationwide Financial Services Company and the Emerging Businesses department (Pet Insurance, Nationwide Speciality Insurance). I was also the previous leader for the University Relations/Recruiting department. Prior to Nationwide, I spent five years in the recruiting field in various sectors. I began my recruiting career with Maxim Healthcare Services in Cleveland, Ohio and went on to run their Detroit operations. Following Maxim, I spent time recruiting sales professionals for various companies across the country and was a Recruiting Manager with Robert Half in their Finance/Accounting department before joining Nationwide. I previously served on the Community Research Partners Human Resource Committee and have partnered with the Ohio Insurance Industry Advisory Board on their strategic partnerships with Ohio colleges. I\'ve been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, Diversity/Careers magazine and various Columbus periodicals on the job market and university recruiting strategies. Previously been the United Way Lead for the HR organization at Nationwide with focus on participation strategies in 2008 and 2009 and served in other capacities the prior two years. I obtained the Certified Internet Recruiter and Certified Diversity Recruiter certificates from AIRS in 2006 and hold an undergraduate degree in Telecommunications Administrative Management/Business Administration from Ohio University.Specialties: Recruiting within the Finance, Accounting, Technology, Investments, Risk Management, Back/Middle Office Operations, Financial Services and Internal Audit.
