ABOUT MISCHA KAPLAN
As CEO of Team Rubicon Canada, I\'m privileged to lead a national NGO that mobilizes veterans, first responders, and civilian volunteers to respond to disasters and humanitarian crises. In this role, I’m focused on stewarding a mission-driven culture, strengthening our operational capacity, and ensuring we’re ready to serve communities in their moments of greatest need. It’s a role that brings together everything I value: service, strategy, and the opportunity to lead in high-stakes, emotionally demanding environments.Outside of my role with Team Rubicon Canada, I’m a part-time instructor in the School of Business at Algonquin College and an occasional opinion writer. I’m also an experienced non-profit board director, and currently hold two public appointments - one via the City of Ottawa (ByWard Market District Authority) and one via the Province of Ontario (Ontario Trillium Foundation).
