ABOUT ALI

I’ve learned over the years that the best technology work isn’t really about the tools. It’s about the people, decisions, and outcomes those tools enable.Over the last 23+ years, I’ve had the opportunity to lead data, digital, and AI work across Kraft Heinz, McDonald’s, United Airlines, and now Hershey. What’s been consistent across all of those environments is the need to connect strategy with execution. Building platforms and operating models that actually get used and make a difference in how the business runs.At Kraft Heinz, that meant building a Supply Chain Control Tower that gave leaders predictive visibility into operations, piloting a manufacturing digital twin to improve decision making on the plant floor, and launching Kraft Heinz AI, our internal GenAI platform, to bring generative AI into everyday workflows. At McDonald’s, it was about modernizing loyalty and personalization platforms that touched millions of customers every day and directly supported growth. At United Airlines, it meant helping the organization move away from transactional and reactive systems toward event driven and predictive capabilities, changing how teams responded to customers in real time.Today at Hershey, I lead the enterprise data and AI platforms and operating model, with Chief Data and AI Officer equivalent scope. My focus is on building the foundations platforms, governance, data products, and ways of working that allow AI and analytics to scale responsibly across commercial, supply chain, finance, and consumer teams.I care deeply about building strong teams, simplifying complexity, and making sure technology investments turn into outcomes leaders can trust. I believe the best CTOs, CDAOs, and CDOs don’t chase shiny technology. They create the conditions where data, AI, and digital capabilities quietly and reliably improve how the business operates every day.
