As Athletic Director I am responsible for supporting St Cyril and the Diocese of Tucson in their mission to evangelize, catechize, and educate youth in a Catholic School environment.My role includes hiring, training, supervising and supporting a coaching staff that is responsible for individual and team sports. I prepare and maintain a budget for athletic programs, and assist facilities operations in developing a facilities and grounds budget. I work with the principal to improve the school athletic program. I plan, supervise, and attend recognition programs for school athletes. I supervise on-site athletic activities as needed.I instruct and work with student athletes to prepare them for athletic competition. As Athletic Director I help student athletes to play their best individually or as a member of team. I provide administrative leadership in planning, implementation, coordination, supervision, and evaluation of the athletic programs for the school.My academic role consist of teaching 2-4 classes/courses per term. With a class size that ranges from 11-20 students. Courses range from \"Sports in Society\" to \"Good, Better, Best\".My Curriculum Chairperson for Physical Education duties/responsibilities consist of the following:• Prepare Curriculum Committee agendas in conjunction with the school curriculum committee.• Moderate Curriculum Committee meetings.• Serve as a resource to assist faculty in the development of curriculum proposals.• Develop recommended procedures and forms for the processing of curriculum materials.• Review all curriculum proposals for technical accuracy and work with faculty to make necessary corrections.• Facilitate curriculum training.• Report to School Administration on matters of the Curriculum Committee and items requiring approval.• Maintain the Curriculum Guidebook and curriculum training materials.
