ABOUT MIRSHAD RAHMAN T M

I am an accomplished social work professional with extensive experience in teaching, research, and administration. Currently, I serve as the Coordinator of IQAC and Assistant Professor in the Department of Social Work at Acharya Institute of Graduate Studies, Bengaluru. In addition to these roles, I coordinate the NIRF, AISHE, and Institutional Innovation Council at the same institute and also serve as an Academic Counselor at IGNOU Regional Centre, Cochin, Kerala.I hold a Ph.D. in Social Work from Pondicherry Central University, a Master of Social Work from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham University, and a Master of Arts in Psychology from IGNOU. With eight years of teaching and six years of research experience, I have contributed six articles and two book chapters in International Scopus-indexed journals and four articles in UGC Care-listed journals.My research interests include experiential learning, student welfare, child protection and rights, networking governance, and public-private partnerships in child protection and school social work. I have actively participated as an external examiner for Ph.D. qualifying examinations and served as a panelist and speaker at various academic events and workshops.In teaching, I focus on primary methods of social work, correctional services, family and child welfare, medical social work, community health, social work administration, policy and planning, research, and general psychology. My expertise extends to training and development, leadership, team building, project management, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and statistical software.I am an active member of several professional associations, including the Kerala Association of Professional Social Workers, Indian Society of Professional Social Work, and the Professional Social Workers\' Forum. Additionally, I serve as an executive member of the Indian Counselors Association, Kerala Chapter.
