ABOUT MIRNA KAAFARANI

As a medical student at Wayne State University School of Medicine, I am passionate about pursuing a career in internal medicine and serving the diverse and underserved communities of American cities. I am currently in my fourth year of medical education, applying for the Match Cycle 2024, and eager to join a residency program that will challenge and inspire me to grow as a physician and a leader. I have a strong background in clinical research, having worked as a clinical study coordinator and a research associate at the Structural Heart and Disease Center at Henry Ford Health System for two years. There, I coordinated and conducted multiple studies on cardiovascular diseases, including a COVID-19 trial, and contributed to several publications in peer-reviewed journals. I also have a bachelor\'s degree in biochemistry and molecular biology from Michigan State University, where I developed my skills in data analysis, laboratory techniques, and scientific communication.
