I guide research staff to develop 3D complex cellular assays to model in vitro cardiovascular diseases (acute and chronic kidney diseases and cardiomyopathies) in order to enhance clinical translatability.I am a subject expert and to go person related to AAV capsid engineering and guide and involved in AAV based pre-clinical and clinical gene therapy programs. I plan clinical observational studies to collect patient material to develop cellular assays starting from patient material (organoids, spheroids, organ on a chip).I regularly participate in due diligences of start ups and scout for novel technologies. I am key contact point with CROs to plan and agree on scientific projects and making sure that projects are executed in a timely manner.I implement and coach others on new ways of working based on agile and related methodologies. I drive innovation by developing new research methodologies, technologies, and approaches for the development of new therapies.I am matter expert in focused scientific areas and provide guidance and insights based on extensive knowledge and experience to senior management.I manage multiple research projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.I prepare and present scientific publications, posters, and presentations at conferences and meetings.
