Canadian lead for the world’s foremost initiative evaluating whether ocean alkalinity enhancement (OAE) can safely remove and store billions of tons of CO2. Created the world’s first global field test site for OAE and the first open-source, OAE-focused joint learning opportunity in partnership with Planetary Technologies, the Canadian contingent of the Ocean Alk-align consortium, independent researchers at Dalhousie University and Halifax’s ocean-based hub for innovation, COVE. Developed a new $4m R&D initiative with partner and co-funder, MEOPAR.
