About Miriam Walden
I teach World History for 10th graders at Albany High School. World History is a course that lets me learn about communities around the world that are important in my students lives. I get to share my childhood in the DR Congo and my study of Chinese history and language, while supporting my students to explore their identity, feed their curiosity and build their empathy. Together, our class is working to understand systems of oppression and how we can fight them.
