ABOUT MIRIAM SHELLABEAR

I am a highly qualified clinical scientist and project manager, with a wealth of experience in clinical trial management. I currently manage projects in four therapy areas; Oncology, CVRM (Cardiovascular, Renal, Metabolism), V&I (Vaccines and Immune Therapies) and R&I (Respiratory & Immunology). I am the EU CTR subject matter expert in my team and have won multiple awards for my innovation, adaptability and problem solving. My work on the Evushield program was recognised with an AstraZeneca Global Award for excellent management of clinical trials during a period of constant change. My scientific background is in DNA sequencing, including Next Generation Sequencing and Forensic DNA Profiling. I have worked on world leading projects in Next Generation Sequencing (Illumina), Forensic DNA profiling (LGC Forensic, now Eurofins) and Clinical Trials (AstraZeneca).I have often been at the forefront of new scientific methods and groundbreaking projects, including DNA-17 implementation, Genomes project, COVID-19 testing and COVID-19 immunisation.
