I am now posting my work on Instagram as well under the name @ hawkbitweed. Update on my artwork : I have been creating work that is more expressionist and abstract. I have been experimenting with mythopoeic themes and using more symbolism, including archetypal ideas. I still use the natural world as a reference point to portray certain moods or states of mind. I am interested in the legacy of postmodernism, and neoliberal economics on society and culture, and on how it affects our relationship with the natural world. And also in how that relationship is affected in a psycho-spiritual sense by the remnants of a monotheistic paradigm as seen in the UK. And in what role the natural world plays in the modern search for identity, faith and meaning. Specialties: Painting, portraiture, illustration work including album covers,cooking, working with the community.
