I’m super excited for this opportunity to contribute to my community and utilize my organizational and event management skills. Plus, as a lifelong library card user and with a history of librarians in my family, I think it’s a good fit for me! My focus includes planning, coordinating, and implementing special events for Bellingham adults in support of the Library’s Strategic Plan and the City’s commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion. Additionally, I research and suggesting event topics; recruit authors, speakers, panelists, and presenters; assist with publicity of library events; and coordinate with other City departments and community organizations to foster public participation in event planning.
