ABOUT MIRANDA WILKINS

Professionally, I currently work at Penguin Random House managing creative brand assets and operations for our licensed product development. I also coordinate licensed brand partnerships as well support the growth of @richardscarylove on Instagram. Previously, I worked in brand collaborations and licensing at Kate Spade managing both brand partnerships and licensed product categories such as eyewear, swimwear, outerwear, tech & watches. I also assisted with creating presentation and pitch decks for brand and design teams with licensee retail and marketing forecasts. Academically, I am a May 2024 graduate of New York University with a B.A. in Sociology at the College of Arts and Sciences and a minor in the Business of Entertainment, Media & Technology from Stern School of Business, Tisch School of Arts, and Steinhardt. My senior student thesis was researching the growth of internationally generated entertainment and media in the US. I have been an experienced intern in both the fashion & film industries with a demonstrated history of working in marketing, public relations, and supporting senior management on creative projects. My skills include strategic problem solving, creative thinking, operational organization, presentation design, writing, and social media. I speak conversational Spanish and conversational Japanese. I am interested in exploring careers within media production & development as well as marketing. I find that I thrive best in collaborative and creative working environments. I have had a variety of work experiences and am eager to build skills where I have not had professional experiences in yet. My longer term professional aim is to help expand representation within the media we consume. At NYU, I was a member of Delta Kappa Alpha (DKA), a cinematic society, and the NYU Stern Tisch Entertainment Business Association (STEBA) and the NYU Marketing Society. I held leadership positions at DKA as Director of Marketing and Director of Alumni Relations. I was also a former member of the competitive mentorship program within STEBA. I also held a student leadership position for a year as Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Panhellenic Sorority of Alpha Sigma Tau where I evaluated equity issues faced by community members. In this role I spearheaded a committee to find solutions that would allow for a more inclusive environment within the organization. I enjoy working culturally and mutually with groups to create impactful work.
