Vice President @Girl Up
Girl Up is a global leadership development initiative, founded by the United Nations Foundation in 2010, that empowers and trains young women to advocate for gender equality and social change. Through its network of clubs and programs, Girl Up provides resources, leadership training, and advocacy opportunities, enabling girls to become leaders in their communities and to take action on issues such as education, health, and safety for girls worldwide.Vice President of the Council Rock North High School chapter.Chapter-based annual activities include fundraising for A Women’s Place, a women’s shelter in Bucks County, two menstrual product drives for both school restrooms and a women’s shelter, and a raffle as a part of fundraising. Monthly activities include making presentations regarding women’s issues to educate members about current events, as well as provide opportunities for members to engage in conversation regarding topics surrounding women’s issues.
