About Mira Liu
I am a current postdoctoral fellow in clinical translational research in Radiology/Biomedical Engineering at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai with Drs. Sara Lewis, Octavia Bane, and Bachir Taouli. I currently work on combined clinical-imaging modeling for improved sensitivity and prediction of kidney disease progression using quantitative MRI and machine learning. My work was granted an NIH NCATS TL1 fellowship for advanced kidney perfusion and diffusion MRI (Spectral diffusion, IVIM, DSC, ASL, BOLD, DTI) and I collaborate on MRI in neurovascular disease, and pelvic radiotherapy. More information is available at miramliu.com. I received my CAMPEP-accredited Ph.D. in Medical Physics from the University of Chicago as an NSF Graduate Research Fellow culminating in a dissertation titled \"Use, Optimization, and Expansion of Quantitative Magnetic Resonance Perfusion Imaging in Cerebrovascular Disease\" with Dr. Timothy Carroll. I have extensive experience with interdisciplinary work in magnetic resonance imaging, imaging biomarkers in novel therapeutics and drugs, muon tomography, and observational cosmology. With over 20 publications, 9 first author, and contributions to consensus reports, book chapters, and recommendations papers I am deeply driven to applying science and technology to improve public health and welfare.
