The Youth Advocacy Training supports US-based young people, ages 14-24, in building core advocacy skills for youth-led civic engagement. Using UNICEF’s Youth Advocacy Guide and workplan, the training will teach advocates the process of advocacy, combining clear “how-to” steps with inspirational stories from other youth advocates striving to bring about change.Throughout the training, advocates will develop their very own advocacy action plan to guide their journeys. Advocates will also engage in mini-workshops on event planning, working with social media, peer coaching, and issue-based networking.
