I work as a Computational Biologist in Computational Predictive Biology group at ORNL. My early studies were in plant biotechnology, but I have recently specialized in the operation and analysis of image-based high-throughput plant phenotyping infrastructures. This specialization led me to learn imageJ for complex batch image processing, R, Python, and SQL for data manipulation, and statistical modeling based on the principles of Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable (FAIR) data. These skills enabled me to move beyond the field of plant biotechnology and participate in human health projects related to COVID19 and suicide prevention through the Million Veteran Program from the Veterans Affairs departement in the US.High Performance Computing (HPC), image-based phenotyping, data science, data management, functional programming and statistical modeling are some of my current interests.
