ABOUT NARIUS MINWALLA

I am a BBA graduate from Simon Fraser University\'s Beedie School of Business, concentrated in Accounting. I have extensive experience conducting external audits for Reporting Issuers within Canadian Capital markets and the NYSE, commonly navigating IFRS, PCAOB regulations, GAAP, amongst various compliance regulations. My most recent experiences, as a Technology Risk Consultant are more geared toward IT Audit; conducting external type 2 SOC 1 and SOC 2 reporting for mature organizations in addition to being involved in Internal Audit engagements for Fortune 500 companies. I have been obtaining various experiences heavily involving but not limited to, process documentation, controls design, test of control, test of design/implementation, and tests of operating effectiveness. Additionally I have most recently obtained opportunities to be involved in a variety of Cybersecurity engagements such as DSA Compliance and Data Privacy Assessments. Over the years, I have developed a dense foundational understanding of financial audit, risk management, regulatory review, and internal controls whilst exhibiting strong project management etiquette. I have been able to develop valuable soft-skills through a mixture of client-facing communications and executive experience. As communication is key in today’s digital world, it is imperative to be present and articulate ideas in a clear, concise, and professional manner. I enjoy working in team settings and taking on various leadership positions within and outside of my workplace. I am proficient, with in-depth knowledge, in a multitude of software: Canvas, Caseware, Sage, QuickBooks, TaxPrep, Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Teams to list a few. I am a fast learner when it comes to taking on new projects with new applications and software. I am multilingual and am able to speak 3 languages fluently; English, Gujarati, and Hindi alongside limited comprehension of French, Urdu, and Punjabi. My multi-cultural exposure allows me to break down barriers and has led me to be more adaptable and emotionally intelligent to all different types of customs and ways of thinking. I have a passion for Tennis, Swiss timepieces, and Jazz Music.
