ABOUT MINH-QUAN TRAN
Passionate and very meticulous, Minh quickly developed a fascination for the intricacies of Hand Therapy and Hand Surgery in 2009. Since earning his Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from McGill University in 2013, he has dedicated his career exclusively to the specialized assessment and treatment of the hand and wrist for acute trauma & post-operative cases, sports injuries, and various pathologies in private practice. His goal is to provide his patients with cutting-edge care that accelerates healing and optimizes recovery following a hand or wrist injury or surgery. Through his exclusive expertise in hand and wrist rehabilitation, his commitment to continuing education, and his competitive, perfectionist nature, Minh obtained the prestigious Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) certification in 2019, joining the global elite. Since then, he also mentors aspiring hand therapists. Minh now works exclusively at Kinatex Rockland, where he collaborates closely with his network of hand surgeons and medical specialists across Greater Montreal. In his pursuit of excellence, he remains dedicated to advancing both his practice and the field of hand rehabilitation, staying at the forefront of new developments in Hand Therapy & Surgery through continuous education. He has expanded his roles as a guest speaker at the provincial hand surgery conference (ASCPEQ), the national hand therapy and surgery conference (CSHT), and the provincial sports medicine conference (AQMSE). He also serves as a consultant for professional and varsity athletes (CFL, Tennis Canada, NHL, ECHL, LHJMQ, Olympians, Cirque du Soleil, Grands Ballets Canadiens, University of Montreal Carabins, and McGill University Redbirds & Martlets, etc.) Minh also holds the positions of co-owner of Kinatex Rockland, co-coordinator of the Montreal Hand Interest Group, member of the ASCPEQ scientific committee, and CSHT Quebec regional representative. Currently, Minh is developing an innovative career project aimed at improving access to cutting-edge hand therapy and surgery for all patients in Montreal. In close collaboration with a distinguished team of Hand Therapists, Surgeons, Physiotherapists, Physiatrists, Sports Doctors, and General Practitioners, his goal is to bridge gaps in care and elevate rehabilitation standards. His mission remains clear: to provide the highest level of specialized care for hand and wrist injuries, empowering patients to regain function and improve their quality of life.
