ABOUT MING YEUNG
My background is in Photography and I\'ve always loved to tell a story though an image. My interest with video started off with mobile phones. As soon as video was able to play on mobiles I decided that I needed to know more. The fact that everyone had a mobile in their pocket, I could only imagine how big this platform would be. Now we have Broadcasters talking about how TV is dead and content is king on digital devices. This is what inspired me to get into video. To learn video I started off with understanding compression and export formats, what is used for who? Knowing the difference between a Broadcast ready format to a web quality video and how to approach it. I also started as a Video Editor to give me an understanding of how to approach video. As a Photographer there are so many similarities yet at the same time there are so many differences. Learning the skill as an Editor first help give me an understanding what works well in an edit and what is needed to tell a story. This has given me the confidence to be able to shoot ENG cameras and know what\'s needed for the story.I\'m currently learning the skills for Affect Effects, 360 video and iPhone footage for news.
