Co-led cross-branch strategic planning initiatives, aligning stakeholders around shared priorities for sustainability and institutional capacity strengthening. Led organizational adaptation in response to significant shifts in U.S. foreign assistance policy, maintaining program continuity, staff stability, and partner confidence through sustained uncertainty.

ABOUT MINDY HOCHGESANG
Twenty-five years across government, nonprofit, healthcare, and global health has taught me one thing above all: strategy only matters if it actually gets done. I\'ve spent my career at that intersection — advising Ministries of Health, managing portfolios in the hundreds of millions, leading teams through mergers and major organizational change, and building the measurement systems that tell you whether any of it is working.My background is global, but my approach is practical. And while much of my career has been rooted in public health and performance management, my work has never been only about the technical — it\'s always been about the people on the other end of the programs. Over time, that orientation has grown into broader systems and organizational leadership: working directly with senior government officials to reshape how health services are designed and delivered, leading strategic planning across complex institutions, and guiding organizations through the kind of change that doesn\'t come with a clear roadmap.Whether in Malawi, Mozambique, Uganda, or San Diego, the fundamentals have stayed the same: clear goals, honest data, the right people, and the trust to move through uncertainty together.I\'m currently exploring leadership opportunities in the U.S. — ideally in mission-aligned organizations where strategy, execution, and equity-centered impact aren\'t competing priorities.
