The things that I do. I write Java based back-end software for Web applications, on the server side. More on the things that I do. The SDLC follows Scrum methodology. Next comes some of the interesting software components that I wrote. The payment acceptance system for a fundraising organization. Takes about 10K lines of code. The system takes payments by Direct Debit, and Paypal via Realex. The Direct Debit uses the RSM service provider. The Realex, it is a payment gateway for added security. The system starts by exposing the input forms, interacts with the service providers asynchronously, and leads to the payment completion confirmation page. The fundraising related details get processed by the ThankQ service provider. The insurance related rating engine. Takes about 10K lines of code. The rating engine which processes the Professional Indemnity Insurance, and its related bolt-ons. The rating engine interacts with so called Sector service provider in order to obtain the insurance monetary values. The core of the rating engine processes the input from the Sector (handles unexpected cases), etc. The loan agreement processing system. Takes about 15K lines of code. It lets the client to take the loan agreement to cover the expenses of an insurance product that the client applied for. Covers following types of loans: personal and commercial. The loan service provider (RESTful) is the CBPF (Close Brothers Premium Finance). The checkout flow starts with rates retrieval, and ends with the loan agreement, which client needs to authorize later on. The data in transit flows highly encrypted; uses symmetric and asymmetric encryption algorithms.
