About Minank Premchand

Ever since high school telecommunication has been my passion. I still remember holding a basic NOKIA phone wondering how I could be heard and stay connected with distant people. Inquisitive by nature, I would often force open my phone to see how communication was established. It was miraculous, being able to get my phone to do whatever I wanted just by pressing little symbols limited to my own eagerness. Throughout my undergrad I latched on to ideas and projects revolving around Wireless Communications, moving from disassembling phones as a kid to building circuits that could broadcast messages over a radio. My passion and research interests in Wireless Communications led me to pursue my Masters Program in Electrical Engineering at The University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) where I was fortunate enough to work with professors working on 5G Cellular Technology and Embedded Systems. Under whose guidance I have implemented projects, learned and learning new Channel Coding Schemes, languages and algorithms to become a learned Communications Engineer.As I dive deep into the domain with the same excitement which drove me as a kid, I have truly learned how much there is yet to learn and problems to be solved. With the willingness to learn and solve problems in a timely manner I want to be part of the Wireless Communication revolution.
