About Minakshi Mishra

Currently, I am working as a Technical Geophysicist in Chevron. I was working as a Subject Matter Expert (Oil and Gas) in CGI. PhD in Geophysics from IIT Bombay. Thesis title \"Role of Seismic Amplitude Analysis in Reservoir Characterization – Offshore Cauvery Basin, East Coast of India and Norne Field in the Norwegian Sea, Norway\".I also worked for Reliance Industries Ltd (Exploration and Production JV with BP GLOBAL), Mumbai, India, as a seismic interpreter (Exploration Geophysicist) for almost 11 years (from May 2007 to March 2018). Here, I was involved in Interpretation of 2D/3D Seismic Data in deepwater clastic environment, East Coast of India. Being a seismic interpreter, I was involved in detailed mapping of the area, various attribute generation and analysis, Velocity modeling, Spectral Decomposition and other geophysical attributes generation and analysis. Apart from seismic interpretation I was involved in detailed geophyiscal analysis of the data for de-risking of upcoming propsects which included avo analysis, modelling and inversion (Colored Inversion, Simultaneous Inversion etc.) in pre-stack as well as post stack domain. My job profile also included Well to Well correlation with petrophysical logs, correlation of seismic and well data and three way well seismic tie using various softwares.I was part of controlled source seismology in NGRI, Hyderabad, India for two years from Dec 2004 to April 2007. Here I was involved in processing of seismic refraction and wide-angle reflection data (Deccan Syneclise area (PSDM) using PROMAX software). For almost five months I was associated with Dr. S. K. Ghosh for development of Matlab code for prediction of earthquakes based on planetary positions). I have published and presented 8 papers in conferences and recently published a paper in First Break (April Issue, 2019)
