As the Senior Director of Strategic Defense Partnerships at the United States National Drone Association (USNDA), which exists to accelerate the rapid and responsible development of small, swarming, and counter-drone technologies and tactics. My role focuses on fostering collaboration between industry, government, and international partners to address critical national security challenges and enhance the United States’ technological competitiveness and readiness. USNDA works to rapidly enhance the U.S. government’s ability to man, train, and equip its personnel and organizations with the necessary skills, tactics, technologies, and policies to maintain national defense, security, and safety in the modern drone era. USNDA is dedicated to strengthening the U.S. industrial base, driving innovation, and ensuring the availability of advanced capabilities to safeguard national interests both domestically and abroad. Through strategic partnerships and engagement, I work to deploy drone technologies that not only protect but also advance U.S. global leadership in defense and security innovation.With over 15 years of executive leadership experience, I bring a deep understanding of national security and defense priorities. I am passionate about advancing national security, defense, and technology innovation, with a focus on the application of data science, predictive analytics, geospatial intelligence, and unmanned systems for humanitarian initiatives.

ABOUT MINA HARRIMAN
Prior to joining the State Department, Deputy Assistant Secretary (Chang) Harriman served as the Chief Executive Officer of Linking the World. Applying insights gleaned from a broad range of civilian and military data sets, data analytics, social science and geo-spatial intelligence capabilities to identify and assist vulnerable communities, the organization worked to isolate root causes of instability, and direct development initiatives to address critical vulnerabilities that non-state actors exploit to further their agenda. She has extensive on the ground experience in conflict areas including Afghanistan, Iraq, Somalia, Nigeria, Haiti, and the Philippines. She has been an advocate for proactive stabilization as a strategic tool of foreign engagement and an investment in a stronger America abroad. Under Mina\'s leadership, LTW became the first 501(c)(3) organization to secure a Section exemption from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for disaster response, mapping, and remote sensing operations. The exemption was significant because, prior to the establishment of Part 107 regulations, obtaining authorization for unmanned aircraft system (UAS) operations required navigating complex regulatory frameworks. LTW enhanced its disaster response capabilities and set a precedent for other nonprofit organizations, demonstrating the potential of UAS technology in humanitarian efforts and leading the industry in innovative applications of drone technology. Mina is an alumna of the Harvard Business School, a Harvard John F. Kennedy Senior Executive in National and International Security and a former International Security Fellow at New America. Mina has been published in CNN, Fortune, Foreign Policy Journal, Forbes, Defense One and The Hill, writing on issues of policy, humanitarian aid, development, the application of emerging technologies and data science capabilities by the sector and its role in the context of national security and global stability. She has addressed audiences at the Republican and Democratic National Conventions, as well as the United Nations, and served as a Fellow with the Center for the Study of Civil-Military Operations at United States Military Academy at West Point, assisting in the development of academic programs tied to humanitarian and disaster response. Served as Civil-Military UN-CMCoord Advisor contributing to the current Common Humanitarian Civil-Military Coordination Standards. Appointed by the United Nations to serve on the Expert Panel for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles in Humanitarian Response.
