ABOUT MIMI HALL

With more than two decades serving local health jurisdictions in California, I have dedicated my career to improving public health systems at the organizational, local and state level in pursuit of a vision of better health, every day, for everyone. Embracing these foundational values have guided my approach: use data to drive decisions, strengthen partnerships across sectors, engage the communities served, prioritize and plan for the investment of resources and demonstrate courage in support of equity at the center of public health practice, science and principles. Practical experience as a public health professional, administrator, and health executive have helped hone my skills in providing decision makers, stakeholders and the public with data-driven, responsible and broad-based evidence that helps policy makers make informed decisions about the citizens they represent. My on-the-ground work delivering community level public health services, mostly in small and rural counties, has been complimented by serving statewide on Legislative, Small County, and Executive committees, and as Past President of the County Health Executives Association of California. I have embraced cross sector collaboration to further expanded data access and interoperability, as foundational governmental public health services, to enable data driven decision making and advanced analytics to explain, predict and prevent disease spread and address health inequities. My work has also included forging and maintaining collective collaborations across community members, key stakeholders across diverse disciplines, philanthropy and government to raise awareness and take action on issues that affect citizens.
