ABOUT MILLY PICKLES

Hi, I am Milly!I started my events career at Ashfield Event Experiences as my placement year, whilst studying at the University of Gloucestershire. I knew that I wanted to progress my career in the corporate events industry after managing and planning aspects of large-scale corporate events. After achieving a 1st class degree at University and with the experience I gained on my placement year, I successfully secured a job at First Choice Conference & Events. I gained invaluable knowledge and skills within venue finding, negotiating and event planning whilst putting together bespoke proposals within budget. I created strong professional relationships with my clients and provided excellent customer service.After several years at First Choice I felt ready for my next challenge and progression within the industry and continued my event journey with Parallel Blue. My experiences include managing and planning virtual events, updating the company website on WordPress and social media marketing. I am currently at Top Banana in a Project Management role where I lead various projects, manage suppliers and budgets I consider myself to be a hardworking and driven individual who works well as part of a team or independently. I have proven that I can meet deadlines and work under pressure across several events. In my free time, I play for Cheltenham Hockey Club, paddle board, socialise with my friends and take every opportunity to travel new countries around the World. I have always been a huge advocate for personal development and I am eager to give back to the events industry by sharing my event experiences and what \'I wish I had known\' on here and on my Instagram account;@millypicklesevents, with event students, graduates and newcomers. I will also be sharing other event professionals experiences through my \'in the know\' series.
