Evaluate internal processes, systems, and department workflows to identify risk exposure and propose corrective controls that strengthen business resiliency- Lead the resolution of post-close conditions and repurchase requests, identify underlying process failures through root cause analysis, and implement corrective measures that strengthen longterm loan quality- Conduct targeted audits for regulatory requirements (e.g, Fair Lending) and collaborate with management to build and document remediation action plans- Fulfill post-closing modification requests for construction loans, creating standardized templates to streamline processing- Prepare, package, and deliver documentation for internal/external audits; identify trends in audit findings and document updated procedures to improve audit readiness- Audit withdrawal and denial submissions to ensure ECOA, HMDA, and Fair Lending compliance; recommend process improvements to reduce noncompliant dispositions- Create job aids, process documentation, and work instructions for legacy SOPs to support consistency and training across teams- Develop and facilitate training for mortgage staff on key topics including adverse action requirements, underwriting guidelines and updates, and loan system enhancements- Partner with department heads and IT teams to identify system gaps and implement enhancements that increase efficiency and optimize operational performance- Function as the SME for underwriting, supporting staff with complex scenarios, policy interpretation, and best practice guidance.Designations: DE/CHUMS #GH87, SAR/LAPP #017709
