About Millie Garrett
Hi! I’m Millie, a Civil Engineering student at Santa Clara University, and I’m passionate about making a positive impact in both my community and the world. I’m excited to be pursuing my degree, and along the way, I’ve had the opportunity to dive into some amazing experiences that have shaped who I am today.I’m actively involved in organizations like the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE), where I’m learning and growing as I develop my skills in the engineering field. Outside of my studies, I’ve found a lot of fulfillment through Sprout Up, where I lead second grade students in learning about the environment. It’s been such a rewarding experience to see their excitement about sustainability, and it’s helped me grow as a leader and educator. In addition to my work in STEM, I’ve always been committed to giving back to my community. I’ve been involved in 4-H for years, holding several leadership roles, and I’m a Girl Scout Silver Award recipient. These opportunities have given me the chance to make lasting connections with others and learn how to be a strong leader.My work at Devil’s Canyon Brewing Company has also helped me develop important skills like teamwork, organization, and customer service. Whether I’m bussing tables, assisting with orders, or supporting facility operations, I’ve learned how to keep things running smoothly while creating a positive experience for others.I’m always looking to learn, grow, and collaborate with others who are passionate about making a difference.
