ABOUT MILLICENT GRANT KC

I am a lawyer and honorary KC with over 30 years post qualification experience in the public, corporate in house and private business sectors. I have management qualifications and experience. I am the 2017-18 Past President of CILEx, past director of CILEx Professional and A&S Committee member. I am a Council member at JUSTICE. I was awarded the UK Legal Diversity Award of BSN Lawyer of the year 2017 and Woman of Achievement 2017 by Women of the Year Awards. I was a member of the JAC\'s Diversity Forum\'s working group that designed and approved materials for the MoJ\'s Pre Application Judicial Education (PAJE) programme launched in 2019. I have advised on corporate HR EDI policies and procedures and recognise the importance of supporting good practice with well a drafted governance framework. I have developed expertise in Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, advising at corporate level on policies and processes. I have conducted Equality Impact Assessments on services delivered and workforce profile and practices; complex Employment Tribunal claims on mixed causes of action including discrimination in relation to protected characteristics.I am a skilled investigator having conducted investigations arising from grievance, disciplinary, performance, breach of corporate standards complaints as well as stage 2 Statutory investigations. I have advised on lessons to be learned from decided and settled Tribunal claims and on consequent amendments to corporate policies, and processes, reporting to a Performance Improvement Board. I am qualified to deliver adult training workshops and have designed and delivered on a range of bespoke topics. I have trained with and facilitated workshops for the NCBI. I have trained as a performance and executive coach, coached senior managers and aspiring leaders. I am an experienced NED and Chair, having chaired CILEx Council, and CILEx Membership Standing Committee. I have been a member of CILEx Governance Standing Committee CILEx and NED of CILEx Law School. I was Director of CILEx Professional Ltd on its A&S committee.
