About Miller Hadley
I am a third-year student at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. I am passionate about the role of pharmacists as I feel they bridge an essential gap in care, providing a high level of patient safety, improving medication access, and educating patients appropriately on their therapies. I believe that pharmacists serve as both an invaluable resource for physicians and an unwavering advocate for patients and their safety.My experience working with the Transitions of Care program at UT Medical Center has solidified my love of medication access and patient education. I have accumulated nearly three years of experience working in the Outpatient Pharmacy setting, and it has taught me the critical value of ensuring patients leave with medications in hand to prevent subsequent readmissions due to lack of medication access. My clinical interests include Cardiology, Infectious disease, Ambulatory Care, Transitions of Care, and Specialty Pharmacy. I hope to pursue a PGY1 residency after graduation to further develop as a clinician and pharmacist.

As a pharmacy intern, I assist with UT Medical Center\'s Meds to Beds operations, where we assist patients with various medication access programs, deliver prescriptions to the patient\'s bedside, and counsel on all medications to ensure that the patient discharges with all necessary medications to treat their disease state. This role requires extensive knowledge of medication access programs to assist patients who may deal with financial hardship, excellent time management to ensure all patients discharging are provided with the care they need, and clinical knowledge of hundreds of medications to educate each patient about their regimen.
