ABOUT MILINDA T.

Milinda\'s affinity for art, music, and theatre emerged early in her childhood, propelling her into a career as a professional stage performer beginning in 1995. This platform also provided opportunities for public speaking, where she developed a unique communication style integrating the performing, visual, and literary arts to inspire and connect her audience. Drawing from her experience as an intern with Walt Disney World, she mastered the art of storytelling. Her goal, while speaking, extends beyond merely captivating her listeners\'s ears; rather, she aims to deeply move them through her authentic and transparent speaking style. Milinda considers it a privilege to engage with and support children. She has dedicated her life to working with diverse groups, including those on the Autism Spectrum, individuals who are differently abled, and at-risk children who have experienced trauma and homelessness. Her profound passion lies in the realms of mental health and well-being, brain and behavioral science, positive psychology, trauma-informed practices, the social science of restorative practices, and the transformative power of artistic expression. Milinda employs various art forms within experiential learning environments to facilitate, educate and inspire personal growth/development. In 2018, Milinda was honored by PBS for her work with extremely behavioral children. She firmly believes in the adage \"you can\'t give what you don\'t have,\" so since her mid-twenties she\'s maintained a steadfast commitment to her own personal growth and development. Milinda\'s life has been characterized by richness and color, and she deeply values the resilience she\'s obtained that has allowed her to embrace life with zest. Furthermore, Milinda excels in developing and implementing award winning innovative art programs. Her initiatives have reached diverse settings, including hospitals, recovery groups, underprivileged/at-risk children, schools, and other organizations. Notably, one of her programs received recognition from the Shasta County Redding CA SELPA, specifically designed to empower children and youth with Autism to showcase their talents on a professional stage. Milinda has also been honored by PBS for her work with extremely behavioral children; 2018 Big Education Event PBS - KNIX, Northern California
