About Milica Babic

As a Business Analyst at DISH, I work with in the Business and IT stakeholders towards the common goal to \"connect people and things” with focus on utilizing technological innovation to develop these possibilities into reality. Apart from supporting MNO, Retail Wireless and Supply Chain teams, I am a part of the Employee Wellbeing Leadership group and an active member of DISH Cares team. I live and breathe our core values CPAW (Curiosity, Pride, Adventure and Winning) everyday. Graduated Master of Science in Industrial and Management Systems Engineering at West Virginia University. The reasons I chose this major are my love of mathematics, technology, business management and the genuine wish to help improve people\'s everyday life. I have many interests and that is why I have a broad background of skills from playing musical instruments since elementary school, to playing different sports, to being a polylinguist. I like to learn new things and work in team environments. Traveling is my passion; learning about new cultures and meeting people with different backgrounds is what I enjoy the most. I have been to about 33 countries so far and I am hungry for more. I worked on a Smart Manufacturing Curriculum Development project for WVU under Dr. Thorsten Wuest sponsored by Department of Energy (DOE). I have published 2 papers on the topic of Smart Manufacturing and my thesis was in the same field focused on Image Based Quality Inspection. Smart Manufacturing is the future and it is important to prepare our future workers for it. I was a student athlete at WVU, where I was a part of the NCAA Division I rifle team that has won 19 Championships. I made WVU President\'s and Dean\'s list multiple times. As a student and as an athlete, I worked hard to balance school, work, and athletics, in both of which I was always one of the top performers. This has given me experience and the appreciation for working in high pressure and performance environments. While working in a team environment, I have learned to better communicate and aid team members while working towards similar goals. I led Serbia\'s National rifle junior team towards greatness at the European and World Championships, I have made numerous friends and acquaintances and gained experiences in communicating with people around the world. One of my proudest accomplishments is a 7th place at the 2nd Youth Olympic Games held in Nanjing (China). I was one of six representatives of Europe.
