ABOUT MILES LEGERE
Growing up, I wanted to do something challenging, adventurous, and uncommon—and to prove myself. I also wanted to keep people safe so everyone could live the life they wanted. So, when I went to college, I joined Air Force ROTC to earn a commission. In college I majored in sociology because people, patterns, and puzzles fascinate me. I served in the Air Force as a drone pilot for almost 8 years. Unfortunately, I did not find it challenging, adventurous, or uncommon. An officer in the Air Force, I left the military in 2022. Despite being a 3x Distinguished Graduate (top 10%) I had no idea of what I wanted to do. I applied for hundreds of jobs before deciding to return to school to teach sociology. I loved my students, but. it wasn’t financially viable. I found a job posting from a small consulting firm looking for a drone expert, to help government understand drones to create programs and policies to secure critical infrastructure. I joined Partner Forces first as a drone-SME and am currently a Project Manager & Consultant where I currently focused on risk management, mitigation planning, and compliance alignment. I like investigating troubles, being on the front lines, analyzing solutions, and writing reports. I shine at complex problem solving; taking in a lot of variables and distilling them down to a narrative that is relatable and inspires people. I do not accept the status quo and never leave things the way they are if there is an opportunity to improve them. Devising innovative solutions for advanced tech users, I leverage my creativity and originality to bridge the gap between the human and the technology for a safer world.I feel the only way to originate meaningful, sustainable change by looking at problems, is with careful analysis and without assumptions—leveraging my unique perspective and creative thinking, combined with a lifetime of professional experience.I believe in myself and in my ability to communicate through my words, actions, and follow-through, allowing people to collaborate with me with assurance. I look forward to applying my passion, dedication, and business acumen to my next professional endeavor.
