About Miles Wittig

As a proud CSULB alumni who graduated with a B.A. in Business Economics and Minor in Comparative World Literature, I would describe myself as a social person who can usually be found meeting new people, hiking with friends, or discussing different forms of art. I am a sufficient communicator who has lots of experience creating and presenting various topics, from the San Francisco population decline to the impacts of Connected and Automated Vehicles (CAVs). I pride myself on being friendly and easy to talk to, and I focus on finding solutions through meaningful discussion. My professional journey began as an Industrial Design Major who quickly transitioned to Economics during the pandemic due to my interest in analyzing data, writing and presenting researched information, and following the stock market. As for the Literature Minor, I always love learning about new genres and authors that I can read into during my free time. It is also important to me to have discussions regarding literary content and its relevancy to important real-world parallels. The next step in my journey was the transition to Transportation Planning, which began during my last semester at CSULB. I took part in an Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) training program that ultimately led to my job at Gannett Fleming, where I got to learn even more about the Transportation industry. Since then, I have enjoyed diving deeper into the emerging field by working on projects for the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO), and various State DOTs.
