ABOUT MILES UPCAVAGE

Mr. Miles Upcavage is the manager of Florida Environmental Compliance at Wetland Studies and Solutions, Inc, a Davey Tree Expert Company. Mr. Upcavage has over 18 years of experience in the environmental consulting field assisting a wide array of clients in the energy and utility, oil and gas, marine, residential, commercial, transportation, federal, state and local government sectors in the states of Florida, California, Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Colorado, and Wyoming. Mr. Upcavage has helped developed diversified services in the Florida marketplace including habitat and wetland assessments, threatened and endangered (T&E) species surveys, BMP maintenance and reporting in accordance with ERP permit compliance, non-native/invasive plant species management, environmental monitoring, and more. Mr. Upcavage responsibilities also include, but not limited to, project management and billing reviews, oversight of all compliance work and inspection team, marketing, attending preconstruction bids, safety coordinator, maintaining client relationships, and more. Mr. Upcavage has worked on projects performing various habitat restoration projects and designs, non-native/invasive plant species management; habitat assessments and T&E species surveys; upland/riparian plant identification; avian surveys; wetland delineations; wetland monitoring and assessments; establishing hydrologic periods; environmental construction monitoring and relocations of wildlife; stormwater pond permit compliance audits and management; assessment and management of upland and wetland mitigation sites; coordinating and implementing scheduled prescribed and permitted burns; T&E plant and wildlife studies, monitoring and relocations. Mr. Upcavage has worked on the environmental and construction side of natural resource and infrastructure projects involving coastal and river dredging, underground and underwater pipe installations, roadway and Department of Transportation projects, construction of substations and power plants, distribution and transmission power line projects, and well oil pad installation projects. He has worked on these projects overseeing that all site contractors comply with all local, state, and federal laws pertaining to project mitigation measure requirements, permits, and biological opinions while providing environmental consultation on all project phases from commencement to completion.
