About Miles Hinson
Software engineer with a track record of building solutions at scale. I’m currently a backend engineer at Suno, powering the future of music creation.Previously, I was a recommendations engineer at YouTube, working on YouTube Music. I led recommendation efforts across our music integrations - music recommendations on smart watches, automobiles, speakers, etc. I designed APIs to bring the best of YouTube Music to an ever growing suite of devices, all the while making sure each device had appropriate recommendations for its given use case.Before YouTube, I was a software engineer at Medium on the recommendations team. I am passionate about building recommendation solutions at scale, and led multiple projects around driving user engagement via our Daily Digest email, Medium’s most wide reaching surface.Outside of work, my main passion is chess. I\'ve played chess competitively since I was 8, and currently have a rating of 2100 (US Expert level).
