ABOUT MILENA RISI

The core of my research work at Zanichelli, Educational Publisher? Making accessibility shift from extraordinary to ordinary: a kind of mental surgery for those who create editorial and digital products. A transformation that starts in the mind, where accessibility becomes an integral part of the process, not an afterthought.Because creating an accessible digital product means giving everyone the opportunity to access information. It’s neither utopia nor science fiction. It’s a choice.A democratic choice: putting people in a position to decide whether or not to access knowledge. Because the alternative, exclusion, is never neutral. Focus Areas:– Accessible Front-End Workflow– AI-driven Alt Text Generation & Verification– Prompt Engineering for Alt Text– User-Centered Accessibility Testing Currently open to:– Research collaborations– Partnerships with ethical, purpose-driven organizations– Opportunities to deepen my technical expertise in frontend and design, with a focus on accessibility– Exploring the capabilities and limitations of AI models, especially regarding accessibility– Co-creating solutions that integrate technology, design, and accessibility
