ABOUT MILAN RAKIĆ

I am a pragmatic and result-oriented IT professional with 20 years of experience from a variety of IT sectors: Banking/finance, mobile, and IoT. Cloud migrations, HSM encryption, API design, software patent examination, designing solutions for on-demand ordering of food and beverages or e-commerce systems for invoice or combined card payment; been there, done that, still love it. Of course, my keen eye will never neglect the Security aspect of whatever solution is at stake, and someone will always hear me nagging that security must be strengthened.During my career I have also had my turn with the softer parts of professional work-life, having worked at HR designing development programs for high-performers in the Mobile technology industry. 180 degrees change from the previous IT world – a change I was not afraid of, and one that I truly enjoyed.As a pragmatic doer, I have a very good understanding of the various and complex processes in organisations. I am motivated by challenges that make me utilise my knowledge and competences. As a curious person and a fast learner, if there is something I am not comfortable with, or do not understand, I give my best to learn, and do not hesitate to ask for help and advice if it makes things go faster (it usually does).As a person, besides being passionate about anything with technology, I am a huge Classical Music and Opera enthusiast. In my free time, when I don\'t help my daughter with her YouTube singing channel, I will most probably be in the kitchen doing some cooking (a huge passion of mine) or reading a good book. Finally, I love a good coffee and a nice beach (preferably somewhere in Greece).
