Ensure compliance with API 5L / API 5CT / ASTM /ASME /EN standards as per customer specification.Conduct dimensional inspection (OD, WT, length, ovality, straightness) using calibrated instruments.Verify pipe end conditions – bevel angle, root face, squareness, and threading profile.Monitor drift test, hydrostatic test, and marking verification before dispatch.Review and validate Mill Test Certificates (MTC) and inspection reports.Perform visual inspection for surface defects – laps, seams, cracks, scabs, dents, handling damage.Coordinate with production team to control finishing defects and improve yield.Ensure traceability of heat number.Handle third-party inspections (TPI) such as SGS / BV / DNV / IRS.Maintain inspection records as per ISO 9001 documentation system.Conduct hardness testing and mechanical test verification (as applicable).Monitor thread compound application (for API 5CT casing & tubing).Ensure compliance with customer special requirements before dispatch clearance.Raise NCR (Non-Conformance Report) for out-of-spec material and follow corrective actions.
